On October 12, 2008 I will ‘turn the page’ on my life — from the twenties to the thirties.
I have never thought of myself as a man, I always think of myself as a boy, although I probably have been a man by socially acceptable standards from the last ten years — and possibly more.
Really accomplished people have done so much by the age thirty both personally and professionally; there are senators, CEO’s and professors. Most men my age, throughout the world have families of their own.
My life should not technically be compared by societal standards ideally, but you can never escape the measurement of a person’s success.
We are all prone to measure how we are doing, financially and socially because apparently that is where happiness comes from.
I don’t have to be a millionaire to be happy, but I would like to be able to take care of my needs, and for the most part I can. Continue reading ‘The BIG 3.0.’

About three weeks ago, we announced our biggest event project ever since the conception of bernos over two years ago. That is the planning committee minus a few that we talk to over the phone. Dawit was on a plane back during our first meeting the first week of August.
We have been very busy with weekly meetings, phone conferences and more; organizing for the event which is nicely titled, ‘Cocktails for Reading.’
We believe it will be a success, but we have been getting a few emails asking what the bottom line is on the event.
What exactly will happen on October 11th? Continue reading ‘The Bottom Line’

“Neaaaah! its too late for that!” shaking his heading with despise.
And then I asked him if he prefers Obama or McCain. He said neither.
I asked him if I could take a picture with him for my blog. He said “can you do it yourself?,” seeing that no one was around except the cashiers, who had no idea who he is.
I took the photo, he shook my hand and left to pay the bill from the cashier. Continue reading ‘Ron into Ron Paul!’

There are lots of types of people. There are those that are very calculated and only take risks after they evaluate the odds. There are those that never ever take any type of risks!
There are those that rarely take risks but when they do take risks it’s a big one. There are those who take risks professionally but never take risks in their personal lives.
There are those are very careful with money, and there are those that are free with money. Next months rent will be from the next paycheck.
Is being carful related with fear? Is falling in love a risk?
“Only Thing We Have to Fear Is Fear Itself”
Famous line from FDR, so poignant! Although it was in reference to politics, it makes are personal point. I am betam scared of taking risks! Especially with women, because I have noticed that people these days live their lives very non-chalantly!
How do they do they do it? How cold are they? Not just women but all people! Beqa every relationship, be it professional or personal is on the surface that nothing really hurts anyone’s feelings. Continue reading ‘Fear-o-Meter!’
