gone but not forgotten 25 Comments

I got a tweet, via my TwitterFox and its said praying for MJ. I was thinking Michael Jordan for some reason. I left it go and searched the web.  Later I heard he went to the hospital and then he died. I got a lot of text messages.

Eventually it was confirmed. I am so sad! Recently I found out someone I knew that was really young had died and I was and have been thinking that I should make the best out of my life because you never know what could happen tomorrow.

Rest in Peace MJ

RIP MJ. Someone upthere wanted you remembered the right way.

Just the day before MJ died I was watching this Erit Americans on America Got Talent singing MJ’s ‘want you back’ amazingly.

That’s how I want to remember MJ, not the freak show he was becoming. RIP

    long live MJ!

Let’s not shed tears of sadness, but let’s rejoice in his music. It’s a shame that he died wanting to be loved and felt as though he wasn’t loved. let’s show him how much he was loved my paying homage to the man, his music and his art!

Without MJ, a lot of artists would have never been born.

I love Michael Jackson-he’s a wonderful artist…i’m sure we all had some memories w/ most of his songs…….I thought I was gonna meet him on the streets of DC when I moved here back in the day-I was fooled. Either way, I’m still in shock.

    Ok Nolawi!

but consider almost the entire nation is reflecting on MJ the good, the bad and the ugly. The talent, the allegation, and the freakdom. I think its all legit in remembering the man and his legacy.

Life is unexpected all the time. being a hospital worker, i am always amazed with conditions for cardiac arrest being paged overhead, and a minute later, this cheering melody for the birth of a baby.
to me its always a constant reminder that life is short and it keeps me in order to enjoy it and make the most out of it. it just makes me a better person in a way, you know forgiving people that has hurt me, doing good for people while they are alive, console people at the time of their sorrow…etc. basically, have fun, love and lough with people i meet everyday.
in regards to michael jackson, i think he went to quick and i am sadened .

@ saronm10: That’s an interesting comparison that you made with being in a workplace where your presented with those in deathbeds to the sounds of new birth. It just reminds myself how much we tend to take our people for granted. Michael Jackson (R.I.P) was a perfect example. Although he lately had numerous issues going on, he was still that memorable voice that was heard throughout everyones home. We forgot how much of a huge philanthropist he was and all the other great things he’s done for the world. Instead, we chose to accept the negative aspect of his life. Sad to say but it was as if we drove him to his grave. Now everyone wants to mourn. I bet it was the same people that bashed him that are just as hurt to see him pass away.

    I couldn’t agree more.

Saron”’Nicely explained. It seems like a hospital is where most spirits exchange bodies. when one passes away a baby is born hmmm I mean if you are lucky enough to make it to the hospital that is. JK

what can anyone possibly achieve in life; being a pop icon and culture, being the richest, being such humanitarian raising millions of dollars for our poor Wolo/Tigray people in 1980′s drought, being on the longest record on billboard chart, and so on..???

I was really depressed the first two days reading news and listening my all time favorite album “Off the wall” and checking all the great arrangers and great musicians participated on it.

But after all, thinking he is just a human being as we are, what was he missing in spite of all that achievement and fame. I am now realizing what we should learn from this..
