When Abesha people invite me to a party, I’m like; naw I’m good, I go to real parties. You know, I go to the real HU.
I was frankly amazed this past Ethiopian DC soccer tournament; party after party, event after event, everybody was getting it. Normally, when I party with my Abesha’s, it’s quite the contrary. I am usually in a packed room, where the promoter already has made their money, and they don’t care about the music and the people are standing around.
When I go into a party, I want to walk in with my hands in the air and dance with the first bad thing, I peep. Then I want to proceed to the bar with clear walking space as I step off the crowded dance floor, without having to knock someone out, so I can pop some bottles.
So I guess I will have to thank Yodit for that. I had fun partying finally with my Abesha’s. I used to always wonder why they would stand around, but I guess nobody showed them, UNTIL NOW!

Honestly I thought you were playin or may be being sarcastic with that comment. I’ve been to a lot of Ethio parties and people get down unconsciencously man…forgive me if i sounded like a gerk.
ofcourse i was being sarcastic, but at the same time i was serious
after what i witnessed at the soccer tourney week … i’m officially deathly afraid of any similar event. it was entirely too exhausting. my toes feel like they’re playing musical chairs around my feet; my kneecaps have turned themselves inside out; my left lung is dry humping my right one; my heart is doing windmills on a sandpaper mat; and my wallet is echoing hollow like sentiments.
but i suppose it’s my own doing, really.
bottomline: esfna is the black plague.

I use to party in NY But I don’t any more I don’t have the desire to go to clubs. I would rather listen to music at home or in my car.
It was good when I was doing that I won’t lie to you. But it gets to be old after a while. You go to clubs you dance, you have fun you drink and feel good for a while….Then you’ll go home or end up in some other place depending on the amount of alcohol/drug you’ve consumed the night before.
Most of the time you’ll find your self in a compromising situation but you don’t really care you’re having fun you are ” having a good times ”
week after week, months after months you will do this looking for fun, love,acceptance, or you just want to fit in with the crowd.
Yet you find yourself searching for more to fill the emptiness you feel.
You will not find what you’re looking for in a club or in alcohol, sex, money, and worldly things. For a while you think you have arrived.
I did all that few years back. Then I got tired. I asked God to save me and He did. I surrendered. It was then My eyes became open and found peace for the first time.
You too can have this peace from the Lord. God loves you and wants to have a relationship with you. No matter what you have done in the past no matter how bad you’ve sinned he is ready and able to forgive you. All you have to do is Ask Jesus Christ to come in your heart. He will take care of the rest.
