If you have ever seen CBS’ 60 minutes you know the clock that counts backwards. kClick kClick kClick it goes counting down the second till the show is over. A good friend of mine once told me that he started carrying an umbrella to work followed by saying 'it’s all down hill from here.'
Are we counting down the seconds till the REAL SHOW, the one we call our life, is over. This past weekend one of my favorite journalists, Ed Bradley died at a tender age of 65. My grandmother once told me that her life is going to Leqso Bet. She saw the deaths of eight of her siblings all her friends and their husbands. Yes, she has been around since the dinosaur ages.

Habesha people we like to complain about anything and everything. Every body knows that we are going to die. But you just have to enjoy in every minute of it and die when you die. We all have to be optimistic about life. Why don’t we try to get rid of our negativity about life and each other. I used to be one of the people who used to complain every minute, nothing made me happy including sex. But know I star seeing life positively because all human beings are here temporarily. It took me a while to figure that out but I start getting happy on daily basis. Instead of worrying…action plays an important role. That is the way to go nobody has lived forever. Instead of arguing for something that we know it is better to look for stuff that we don’t know.
BTW I use hear “Life is a bitch, and then you die” every Sunday when I woke up from hangover.

A friend of mine died when we were 19 and at her fetehat, all I could think about is how she could have used a couple of years to straighten her life out….Now years later, I think it’s not so much as ‘the dream, the perfect life’ that is important than having really enjoyed your life. Whether it’s 19, 30,or60 years old, it’s better to have enjoyed it, landed on the dream boat or something else but enjoyed the ride a hell lot more.
It’s the obssession with having to do whatever by whatever age that is turning the journey sour and although all the trophies say it was a successful journey, what good is it if it was miserable!
I am surprised that in 7 posts no body mentioned life after death. With life being so complex and so mysterious, it is hard to believe death is the end of it.

Ok, Nolawi, you can see I keep coming back to bernos. When I came to bernos it was sort of by accident and when I came up with the nickname DNGAY RAS, I thought I was just passing by bernos and the name did not matter to me. But now I keep coming back because of all the back home stuff you come up with. Next time I post a comment I will have a new nickname that is not distracting. I know there were a lot of suggestions for your nephew’s name. Any suggestions for me from all those names?
In terms of proving life after death, I don’t have any proof, even though I beleive in life after death. On the flip side ,however, it is also hard to prove that life after death does not exist. Regardless, you are absolutely right in saying that we should…. savior every bite of life before death regardless of life after death.
My question about reincarnation was a joke. I was hoping someone would come up with a funny answer. May be I should have used one of those emoticones. Even though I hate them with passion, I am learning they are useful in setting the tone of your words.

hmmm Interesting….
I just want to share you a story. I remember a while ago, there use to be this guy and every where he went like KEBELE, Hospital, Clinic, he tells his age is 30; may be for as long as i remember. I think number 30 is a good average for use for everytime…LOL! Anyway my friend keeps saying since this guys didin’t do that important thing after he passed his 30, it is logical if he says 30 always. I was 16 and i will pass him soon, hopefully; i mean if i do purposefull thing in my life from now on.
Talking about life after death, that is really scary thing. I mean, i just thought about it and lets say there is a probably of 0.1 % of life after death. I like considering probablity b/s i used to a student of Engineering. It seems that we are taking risk of ethernal (0.1% ) of life.

i honestly don’t buy into the the idea of age is a matter of the mind. I wish it was. But, age is a matter of age. I say the same thing to the idea of calendar age vs real age as if they are two separate things. Your calendar age is your real age. Trying to look and feel younger than your age does not help much. I really think it is a despearate human attempt to avoid facing old age and finally death. My theory is that people who are willing to embrace old age and accept the unpleasant changes it brings are happier.

i believe it is really impossible to talk about time and/or/vs age, b/c age is nothing but a line segment that goes from a certain point A to point B along the time axis? but then again what is time? but a collosal misconception that exists in our mind that tries hard but most usually fails to be defined as an entity unto its own, without a definate reference to certain seies of events(unfortunate or otherwise?)
So I say, if we need to know what time vs age means or if what time is then we should be talking about what is meant by “an idea” “to think” ……….

The Bible as well as many other books talk about life after death. Again not every one beleives in the bible. It’s our job to tell the world about God’s love and the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ.

I saw the movie this afternoon. I had to make sure my daughter did not listen. I don’t want her to here such things.
I tell you. Some part of the movie was funny some was very sad and some part was shocking.
I was like it’s hard to believe anything or anyone anymore. After all the deception we have been put through.
But I quickly came to my senses and commited my thoughts to God. I have peace now. I still beleive in God and Jesus is my saviour. I now have to work even hard in my ministry. I have to continue to witness to young children and young people so they won’t grow up with hearing the word of God.
