1. What misconception do you think Ethiopian males have about woman?
It’s very hard for me to talk about Ethiopian male in such a generalized way. I believe it all depends on the person’s experiences with women, his upbringing, his family experiences and many other factors
2. What qualities do you find attractive in a man; other than physical?
I can sit here and go through my wish list and say I want a man who is sensitive, kind, a good listener, one who likes to cuddle etc. But I found that those qualities are actually attractive to us women because that’s how we express our feelings, and instead of trying to change men to be what they aren’t, I have learned to appreciate their unique and different ways of showing their love without assuming these “feminine” traits. However, I like a man with a good heart and one who has a well founded respect for God.
3. What is the difference between Guregna and Kurategna man?
I think Guregna is one who boasts about everything he is, he has and sometimes makes up stories that he thinks will make him appear more important and attractive than he really is. Kurategna, on the other hand is one who is reserved and takes his time before getting too personal and close with a stranger. Most people who are labeled as Kurategna are actually very shy people, who just put on this face in order to hide their timidity.
4. How do you like to be asked out?
I like it when a man knows what he wants and is straight forward
5. What factors do you consider when you decide to start dating someone?
I usually do not think before I start dating, if I am attracted to the guy in question, I would give it a shot without being too involved physically and if I like what I see, then I will engage in the relationship.
6. What emotions do you think support the creation of a stable relationship?
I do not think that a relationship created on emotions will last, because emotion come and go and they are constantly changing. I believe that a relationship should be based on values, mutual understanding, mutual respect and realistic expectations.
7. What characteristics in man (if any) make you not trust him?
