The Global Warming talk has been increasing every since Mr. Gore shed light on the topic to the world. He won an Oscar and the Nobel Peace Prize for his environmental activism; deservedly so.

In other words, CO2 emissions is the main cause; and the biggest criminals thus far has been first world countries and china and India; 8 countries which account for over 60% of the worlds CO2 emissions.
The 61 African nations combined account for less than 5% of the worlds CO2 emissions, while accounting for 14% of the world’s population.
According to scientists, Africa will be the continent hardest hit by global warming.
UN’s IPCC around 600,000 sq km of cultivatable land may be ruined in Africa because of the predicted increase of 2.5 degrees in temperature.
The UN in June of 2007 issued a desertification warning, saying;
Tens of millions of people could be driven from their homes by encroaching deserts, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa…
Yet, some experts imply about the ill effects of Foreign Aid to Africa backed by the 600 billion that 1st world countries have given to Africa since the 1960’s. Inflated by anyone’s count, most foreign aid requires the recipient to spend the money on donors goods and services, which are almost always much more expensive than that available elsewhere. Add to that the fact that donor nations often use donor countries charity organizations to implement programs.
For example if the USAID spends 10 million in aid to Malawi for a certain program, companies like AIR are given all of the money to implement these programs and thus spend most of the money on inflated salaries of the Non-Profit organization.
Of the three major sub-Saharan Africa’s problems, drought, the population growth rate and Aids, at least one could be attested to 1st world countries.

Becase we are a bunch of infants who are easly manuplated to see only the trees in the forest and not the forest itself. Africa will pay for others mistakes because the others can get away with it. What do you do when a bully comes to take your lunch? What else but go hungy, that is the norm. But I do wonder who is underdeveloped… the bully or the bullied? the abuser or the abused?

How about taking part of the blame and accepting responsibility by the African leaders and elites who have just sat around and let the deforestation and population explosion that exasperated the deforestation continue for decades. Ye know, we can’t just be blaming every one else and forget that we have a responsibility too.

This was one of the hot topic/issue during Clinton’s Global campaign and Mr I am smarter than everyone Meles Zenawi who opened his mouth about this specific issue; Africa will be the biggest impacted Vs the rest of the world. Tony Blair shut him up by referring to the horrible conditions Ethiopian citizens were, no shelter, no food, etc.

The sun has always been and continues to be a major player in the global climate change, and it could very well be responsible for much of today’s global warming as well. However, Africa has the least resources to meet the threats/challenges global warming poses.
