So the result of his sucess is the fact he was untrust worthy, imoral, deceptive, incosiderate, and unethical individual who sold himself to the customers as the opposite and abused thier trust. He got away with it for so long because he chose a complicated market with little to none regulations. I wouldnt use the word "impressed", its more so "disgusted".
