Girls are wearing light colored summer high wasted dress. That helps plump girls look more appealing while making skinny look bony.
Controversies were stirred up over the last five years. Bony models are banned is Spain and Milan has made adjustments. The wolves; the woman’s advocacy groups and the medical associations have been crying ever since…since forever.
They would like to think they changed the course what’s ‘in,’ or what’s ‘out.’ But it’s market that has decided.
Fat is not in, this is not the renaissance, this is not a Goya painting; plump is IN!
It was a hot weekend night. I went to dinner and then the text invite comes in. This is the place. I will stop by. I will check it out. The girls are young; they are independent minded, like one that told me, “Why shouldn’t I?”
She was chattering about playing the field. She would like to get laid once in a while even though she hasn’t found her man. Whatever the reason, I just like to look at them. If nothing else the view is nice.

She was young, very young I suspect. If this was 1999 she would have been ‘the girl,’ the one everyone stared at. With her heels she looked taller than Dikembe Mutombo. The ribbon is barely holding her hair together. Her tight top showed her whole bare back, but nothing was covering the black bra. She didn’t care, it seemed like she was going to the neighborhood pharmacy.
She looked like an extra in a 80′s Madonna’s video. I would complain that she was blocking my view, but she was so skinny. If this was 1989, she would have an open invitation to fashion week runways. But this is 2008, and plump is IN!
“Oh my god, she is so skinny! I like some meat on my bones,” he explained. Then the conversation changed to various topics. Their eyes didn’t focus on the ‘bony girl,’ they were looking at the ‘meaty girls’ in the high-waisted summer dresses. Indeed plump is definitely IN!

Amen Nolawi!!!!!!!! Plump is definitely in. Even my brother, the pickiest of all picky daters has been rejecting this totally hot girl because he says she’s too skinny. I got nothing against my skinny sister, especially those who are naturally skinny. But those who starve themselves to look “hot”, please, get a clue girls, plump is IN!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m a little plumpy too (is plumpy a word? hahahaha). I was having a bad day while shopping for swim suits. There are only suits in every store that only cover half of me. So coming home to read this post totally put a smile on my face.

I can’t believe I am writing this but my friend who is somewhat plump- plumpy broke up with her boyfriend and was crying on my shoulders today. Its 2 pm and i am just getting home.
And the problem is that she suspects he is cheating on her and she blames her weight. I am going to forward this to her because I think this way she would think twice about blaming him without an evidence.

Interesting article Nolawi but I think here in Europe skinny both the jeans and the person are both still both IN, yes models in Spain may be not allowed to be too skinny but that was unhealthy and anorexic ill type of skinny to begin with and well they were ill looking and would put off clients, but the naturally skinny and not ill looking are still walking the catwalk of Europe and it will always be that way because from the mouths of designers they are the ones who says clothes look better on skinny models than say plumb ones…
As for body size and body image personally I think is a personal thing, some men like skinny and some like it fat, but why is skinny versus plump issue? there are lots of body shapes beside those two, what about the slim and naturally slender but not skinny or bony?,..the slender can have curves too without them being plumb or fat ,or the athletic looking ,or the petite small boned women are these types out with he skinny as well?

You also can use other word like…full figure, thick (my fave), curvy etc.. but it different from being obese . Agreeing with Sosina and Hidaya.It’s all about the curves. And often times and naturally most women have those curves there, where it is needed. Women do not need to be “plump” to have curves. Even skinny women have curves. Depends on what kind of clothes a woman chooses to wear to show off or hide her curves.
In my opinion, as long as a woman is comfortable in her own skin,healthy,stylish and confident,that makes her attractive. No matter the size(exception: obese& anorexic)

It is a bit dishonest to say, love yourself as you are, you don’t have to work on anything. I am not saying hate your body but your body, like your, say, hair, needs maintenance. I am always shocked the way my peeps would never leave the house without perfectly coiffed hair, have serious skin care routines but don’t work out at all. What is that about? Especially if we have jobs that keep us sedentary, it is imperative that at least an hour a day (or an equivalent weekly amount) be spent taking care of your body. This is healthy. This is the only way to be. It is not hating your body to want to change it for the better. As you aspire to be the best in everything, and your accomplishments never fall on your lap, neither will your ideal body. The ideal is not to look like anyone else. Just the best healthy version of you. Eat well. Play well and please work out. Every size is lovely if it is toned.

Those of you who think being overweight is a good thing are kidding yourself. It is not about being comfortable, it is about being healthy. Data from data show that ppl with a BMI of greater than 28 are consider at risk for hearth disease, sleep apnea(not able to breath while sleeping), Diabetes and so on. So, think about it before saying it is in or out.The most important thing is not following the trend and keeping your body at normal weight. To do that, eat right with moderation, exercise and keep your cholestrol level down. Dont work out for a man nor cuz it is a trend. Do it cuz you love it and keeps your heart to be healthy.
