We took the classic concept and then we “RE” minamined it on American Apparel ringer Tee. We went back to the drawing board on this; we asked what we would do if we had to redesign the Addis Ababa Classic concept from scratch.
We concluded it’s almost perfect, but we would incorporate the Coca Cola Stripe somehow & also make the print larger on the tee. At first we thought about incorporating it on the Addis Ababa motif, but we went to the American Apparel store in DC.
We saw the ringer design for the first time, in blue, if only they made it in red and white it would have been perfect. Well its now a perfect merger, its classic.
With no future a due, the revamped version of the bernos Addis Ababa Classic concept! This and two new concepts, including the bernos Awaze Hot tees will be here before the end of this month.

First of it has nothing that belongs to addis. The whole thing reminds me of Coke. I don’t see anything that resembles Addis. My eyes just see an imitation of Coke brand only spelling difference.
I think that is the point of this tshirt, to imitate the branding of the coke. That is probably why you see ok.

that is the official spelling as far as I know. What we did was look at the spelling of Addis Ababa University!
think about it if the oldest higher education institution in Ethiopia spells it Ababa! we should follow suit.

We have also to remember language always changes. We all know the English language that we currently use is different from that of Shakespearian era English. Nolawi, It’s true that Addis Ababa isspelled the correct way on the shirts. It seems that this confusion is a never ending one. Several people have a hard time spelling it correctly. I myself spell it both ways on official documents. As far as I know it has always been Addis Ababa sometimes spelled “Addis Abeba”. Sometimes too much creativity can back fire. Excellent shirt!
