Nolawi-wonderful piece as always. Though I had a couple of CDs of Seleshe Demessae aka Gash Abera Mola, I can't locate them. But Amazon has some info on them. Click here So my favorite game when I was growing up was when my, sister and cousins (all 20 of us) would play "Lij lemefelg metenal." Though I'm in my mid 30's I wouldn't mind playing it again-lol Chereka is a wonderful song--how about hearing a Menelik Wossenachew version arranged by the great Girma Beyene and backed by the All Star Band.

Ok Guys I figured you guys were going to ask where you can find the arif Musiqa by Gashe Seleshi Demissie... I am personally against sharing or giving free Ethiopian music online, since it affects the future products excepts in cases where the musician is unknown to the mass... which i assume this is the case here; if so, then it helps it by promoting the musician(s) so I was not able to find a location where we could buy online except

I found 3 songs the above album! i am going to assume that Ethio Jazz might know more about the album which the podcasted songs comes from. if we are unable to find will upload online! for the likes of Timo's son and shalom shalom...

My goodness childhood memory in Addis…very few and far between but this piece brings tears to my eyes. How lucky you are to have been blessed with the time you spent with your grandfather, that’s what you call priceless. Love the songs.
