As you presumably know, Miteku is replacement, vice, substitute, stand-in, surrogate, alternate, sub, understudy and etc; all word for Wushemas. A wise person once told me “don’t you know how prevalent extra curricular activities are in Addisaba.

She was referring to marriage and adult life. Her proof was how a lot of  Ethiopian theatrical plays, music and literature have that as a theme.  Azmari’s sing their blues, and Tsehafiyes write their melancholy…

Enclosed 2 versions of Buna; notice how both the male and the female have Miteku & MiteKe respectively.

    Nolawi, the song is “ene esih saqerara hedalech miteke” and not sagerara.
