I went to a graduation celebration party last weekend. I ran into a friend from out of town. After the what's up's & the howudoing's; I inquired as to what reason that he graced us with his presence. He claimed that he came for the graduation celebration.
Later he told me that he came in two nights prior. He also told me that he went to dinner with another friend of his in town, who also happens to be a good friend of mine.
So, I said "really?"
I could sense some guilt on his face. As if I said 'why didn't you invite me when two of my friends went out together?' Well I didn't say that but I sensed that he suspected as if I had felt to the extent of the statement.
So, did I explain? well no I didn’t. To do so would have been to exaggerate a non-issue.
Subsequently it's left as that, Miscommunication between friends.
